MiTAC attends Taiwan-Sweden JBC Meeting

The 34th Taiwan-Sweden Joint Business Council (JBC) Meeting held on 19 November 2018 in Taipei addressed the theme on “Smart Cities & Sustainable Societies” with the intent to identify opportunities for Innovation and Collaboration between Taiwan and Sweden.

Taiwanese and Swedish government officials, industry leaders and academia researchers gathered to present and discuss the state-of-art innovation, technology trend and solutions for Smart Cities and Sustainable Societies in areas of ICT, Energy & Environment and HealthCare.

Attendees from Sweden were Minesto’s CEO-Dr. Martin Edlund, Chairman of the Swedish Foreign Trade Association-Mr. Ulf Pehrsson, State Secretary of Sweden Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation-Ms. Stina Billinger, and other Sweden delegation members. Other attendees were including Vice President of MiTAC Information Technology Corporation-Sammy Chiu, Board of Science and Technology, Executive Yuan Deputy Executive Secretary Dr. Shih-Torng Ding, and Green Energya and Environment Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) Deputy General Director-Dr. Bing-Chwen Yang.

The Taiwan-Sweden Joint Business Council meeting is an important platform for business contacts and intergovernmental relations, to explore business opportunities between Taiwan and Sweden.
