Whether it’s of a metro system, high speed Rail or airport, the operation control center is required to collect massive amount of information in order to evaluate the impact of the issue and respond immediately. The information can be complicated when it is in different forms such as text, image, sound, video etc. How to effectively transmit information in a very short time is crucial for the operators.

MiTAC Information Technology Corp. has built the CMFT (Communications Multi-Function Terminal) which provides integrated information presentation for the control center, and is currently deployed in Circular line of Taipei Metro System.

CMFT is a workstation with integrated interface that allows each operator in the operation control center to operate and control all communication system devices including the TErrestrial Trunked Radio system, CCTV, PA system, OTC system, Dot-Matrix Display system, DLT telephone system, Automatic Train Control system, POWER SCADA, ECS SCADA, traveler information displays, digital radio system and train communications equipment.

CMFT integrates not only communications interface for all calls, operation, control, management and monitoring, but also display of train operations, communication system status and rail system equipment status.
Its system interface and operating procedures can be adjusted and modified according to customer requirements. It also has a full redundancy mechanism that supports system redundancy, off-site backup and database backup.

CMFT can also be applied to building access control, campus management, airport monitoring and other fields which need communication management.
