“Train Protection & Monitoring System” using 5G, AIoT and Edge Computing technology.
The system facilitates communication between the trains, operation rooms, and the control center by providing monitoring and tracking of the railway operations, anomaly detection and forecasting, and a data visualization dashboard at the backend. It makes current scattered information readable and synchronized whole, and as such improves the efficiency and safety of railway transportation.
The first stage of the Train Protection & Monitoring System is to provide an AI real-time monitoring mechanism for the ATP( automatic train protection) system and the pantograph. This system has been tested and achieved good results. in the Taiwan Railway Hsinchu Locomotive Depot, and it is expected to be expanded to Taiwan’s entire railway network.
